Martha Washington's Choice Cotton Coverlet

I bought this coverlet in Antique for my 1750s Hepplewhite, canopy bed. I matched it with a Cathedral blanket and Colonial Rose Throw in Linen. Now, with a plain muslin dust ruffle and old lace canopy, the bed looks like old Philadelphia again. I'm thrilled with the quality and beauty of every one of these products. Thank you, Bates!

I love this coverlet. Love channel and this is even better. Bought the Lisa throw. It is a matease (sp?). Very Nice, but not the nubby texture of the Martha Washington. Texture makes the difference to me. I may buy the Lisa coverlet some day.

Years ago my aunt had Bates spreads in all of her bedrooms and had lovely taste in decorating. I wanted a well made spread that wasn't flimsy. My bed is a queen but with a very high mattress. A king coverlet fit it perfectly as a bedspread. I was so pleased that I bought a full size spread for my guest room. Beautifully made with old fashioned quality.

I thank you for bringing this very American product back to us. It is American history, art and workmanship all in one. We were given our first one for a wedding gift in 1957. I always loved the easy care and the way in looked in any bedroom.
When it wore out I lost track of the Bates bedspreads.
A few years back found them on eBay but did not want a used one. This year I found your website and ordered a different bedspread and a blanket.
I love this new one and I am so happy to see how great it looks on my cherry four post bed that has been in my family since 1945. It really makes the room.
I hardly ever review a product so it has to be a superior product for me to do one and your products score a 10.
