The George Washington’s Choice Blanket is our oldest and most popular blanket design. Available in 6 colors, this heavyweight blanket is as decorative as it is warm. This heirloom-quality blanket is loom woven from American grown and spun cotton, and the design has a similar appearance to popular cable knit blankets.

The George Washington’s Choice is finished with a double needle plain hem on all four sides. Like all of our made in USA blankets, this blanket is woven and stitched at our family-owned mill in the beautiful state of Maine.

So comfy!

Love the texture and weight of this blanket! You probably need a layer on top to keep the heat in if you get chilled easily (as someone who experiences Bay Area chilly summer nights) but it works overall on its own for me :)

The Absolute BEST

I searched high and low for a substantial cotton bed blanket that has weight and a natural woven texture. This is it!! I ordered a full/queen and it is generously sized and absolutely beautiful. A blanket like this could never be found at Target, Home Goods, etc. This blanket is unique due to its woven texture, weight and size. I hope these blankets are available for purchase as long as I’m alive and sleeping in a bed!

A joy to own a blanket from Bates Mill
