Located in Minnesota's iconic Bluff Country, the Habberstad House Bed and Breakfast is an oasis of relaxation and historic beauty. When Innkeepers Elaine and Mark Edwards took over the inn in 2015, their goal was set on "providing a most relaxing retreat for those looking to leave the hustle and bustle of their daily lives." To help achieve this goal, they sought out bedding that would pair well aesthetically with the historic home and that would also have the quality needed to last in a hospitality setting. They found this in our matelasse bedspreads.

"Bates Mill matelasse bedspreads were just what we were looking for at the Habberstad House Bed and Breakfast. The quality and richness of the bedding is topnotch."

Elaine & Mark chose the Abigail Adams Bedspread for their Heather Suite. According to Elaine, "the two-toned neutrals and pattern add a luxurious richness to the antique carved bed." We can't agree more and absolutely love the pairing in this beautiful sunny room.

The Orchid Room: Queen Elizabeth Bedspread in Antique

For The Orchid Room, they chose the most popular Bates bedspread in the matelasse collection, the Queen Elizabeth Bedspread. According to Elaine, "The Orchid Room's beautiful antique walnut furniture is complimented by the Queen Elizabeth Bedspread in antique. The south-facing room is bathed in sunlight during the day and provides a bright and cheery atmosphere."

We absolutely love the way that Bates bedspreads pair with the gorgeous antique beds featured at the Habberstad House Bed & Breakfast. If you have a similar pairing, please be sure to share in the comments below and send us a photo at contact@batesmillstore.com so we can share.

Many thanks to Elaine and Mark at the Habberstad House Bed & Breakfast for sending over these photos and comments for this post. If you find yourself making plans for your next relaxing getaway, be sure to consider their inn in Minnesota.
